Description
Cetraria moss, or Icelandic moss, is a unique gift of nature that has many beneficial properties and has a healing effect on individual organs and the body as a whole. When using Icelandic moss for therapeutic purposes, you can not doubt its environmental friendliness. In its pure form, Icelandic moss can be used as an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial agent for the treatment of wounds, burns and bacterial lesions of the skin. But most often in medicine, aqueous solutions (decoctions, teas, infusions) with cetraria are used. They are indicated for any diseases of the respiratory system, including asthma, bronchitis, whooping cough, tuberculosis and pneumonia.
The plant has a strong mucolytic effect, it quickly liquefies accumulated sputum in the bronchi and lungs and promotes its discharge. And biologically active substances protect the mucosa from recurrent infections and the negative effects of other factors.
Natural bitterness of Icelandic moss activates appetite and normalizes digestive processes. Decoction of the plant strengthens the immune system and gives a prophylactic effect to prevent viral infections. Remedies from cetraria contribute to the purification of blood and lymph, and are recommended for use as an antidiabetic and oncoprotective drug.
Traditional ways of preparation and use in folk medicine:
1. Infusion: 2 tsp. of crushed raw materials pour 1 cup of boiled water. Abstain for 24 hours. The resulting infusion to take several times during the day.
2. Infusion: 1 tablespoon of crushed raw materials pour 1 cup of boiling water. Abstain for 2 hours. Take 1/3 cup 3 times a day. Infusion: 1/2 tbsp. of crushed raw materials pour 1 cup boiling water, insist 15 minutes, strain. Take adults take 1/2 cup 2 times a day with meals. Use as a dietary supplement.
3. Kefir: 1 tbsp. crushed raw materials pour 250 ml of kefir, add 1 tsp. sugar (you can honey, syrup, jam). Thoroughly mix and insist 15 minutes. Drink the entire volume in the morning or evening.
