Propolis is based on standardized extract of natural propolis and is a source of flavonoids (flavones and flavonols and their glycosides).

Propolis is a powerful immunomodulator, working at the cellular level. It has disinfectant, antitoxic, antiviral properties, strengthens immunity and enriches the body with vitamins, also has an antitoxic effect.

Natural propolis has been known to mankind since time immemorial. This bee product was widely used for medical purposes by the ancient Greeks, Romans, Incas, Persians, Egyptians and Arabs. Hippocrates recommended applying propolis for faster healing of wounds and ulcers. Roman legionaries took it with them to war. Propolis was very popular in Russia. For example, in the late 19th century propolis was used as an anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious and wound healing (scarring) agent.

To this day in folk medicine means based on natural propolis are used in the treatment of:

By origin, natural propolis is a sticky substance that bees collect from the spring buds of trees and modify with their enzymes. In the hive, bees use it as a disinfectant and repair and construction material. More than 200 compounds have been identified in propolis. For the protective function of propolis, it is the plurality that is considered important to ensure joint effective action. On average, propolis consists of 50% resinous components (flavonoids, aromatic acids and their esters), 30% wax (fatty acids, alcohols and their esters), 10% essential and aromatic oils, 5% flower pollen (free amino acids and proteins) and 5% other substances (minerals, ketones, lactones, quinones, steroids, vitamins and sugars). Propolis contains vitamins such as: B1, B2, B6, A, C, E, H, P, and almost all trace elements necessary for humans: magnesium, potassium, sodium, iron, zinc, manganese, copper, cobalt, phosphorus, sulfur, antimony, aluminum, chromium, selenium, silicon, strontium, titanium, vanadium, tin, fluorine. Propolis contains such amino acids as: alanine, ?-alanine, ?(?)-aminobutyric acid, arginine, asparagine, asparagic acid, valine, hydroxyproline, histidine, glycine, glutamic acid, isoleucine, lysine, leucine, methionine, ornithine, pyroglutamic acid, proline, sarcosine, serine, tyrosine, threonine, tryptophan, phenylalanine, cystine and cysteine. Many of the above amino acids are essential for humans.

Biological properties of propolis are explained, first of all, by the presence of significant amounts of phenolic compounds: flavonoids and phenolic acids. Phenolic acids: ferulic acid, caffeic acid, benzoic acid, cinnamic acid, exhibit antibacterial, antifungal (against yeast fungi), antiprotozoal (against parasites), astringent properties, as well as choleretic, diuretic, vasoconstrictive anti-inflammatory action. Flavonoid complex is characterized by the presence of apigenin, acacetin, kaempferol, kaempferide, ermanin, rhamnocitrin, isoramnetin, rhamnasin, showing antimicrobial, wound-healing, antioxidant, action.

When researching propolis, more and more new components are found, among which there are even natural antibiotic substances, the existence of which was not known before, such as essential oils, antifungal substance pinocembrin, caffeic acid ester.

Thus, due to the diversity and richness of the composition of natural propolis acts as:
– antiseptic (bactericidal, antiviral and antifungal);
– regenerating;
– wound healing;
– anti-inflammatory;
– analgesic;
– vasoconstrictor;
– immunostimulating;
– antitoxic;
– antioxidant agent.

Form of release: soft gelatin capsules of 500 mg 30 pcs. in a package.

Dosage and method of administration: Adults: 1 capsule 1 time a day with meals. Duration of intake 1 month.
