Phytocomplex Senna-D restores regular and proper bowel function. Source of anthracene derivatives (chrysophanic acid), has a mild laxative effect, increases intestinal motility.
Senna leaves contain anthraglycosides, which have a pronounced laxative effect. The mechanism of action is to irritate the receptors of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract, reduce secretion, and increase peristalsis in the large intestine. Another distinctive property of senna preparations is that they do not cause contraction-like pain in the perineal area. It is recommended as an additional source of sennosides A and B to support intestinal motor function.
